Yoga Cards are designed looking and functioning as ordinary playing cards. However, in each card is presented an unigue yoga position. Altogether 52+2 different positions are organized in four yoga series: a standing series (spades), forward bends (hearts), backward bends (clubs) and restorative exercises (diamonds). Every card includes the name of asana in the Sanskrit language.
Cards can be used for supporting your daily yoga sessions and personal development as a yoga trainee or trainer. You can compose a yoga series for yourself or for your students by utilising a complete deck of 54 cards and selecting a series day-by-day. Of course cards can be used also as ordinary playing cards, to play poker, bridge, solitaire or any other card game. Look more examples how to use cards at the end of this page.
The image series are adapted from Iyegar yoga tradition but they can be applied easily in most of the other yoga schools as well. Use your imagination and creativity to invent new ways to enhance and develop your yoga experience.

EXAMPLES HOW TO USE YOGA CARDS
You can play memory or guessing games with the cards. For example describe the asana for your partner to guess or perform it or show the asana for your partner to guess its name.
CARDS IN THE YOGA CLASS
In the yoga class before the beginning each student will choose a single card, asana, which she/he would like to perform. Then you will compose with the selected cards (e.g. 15) a yoga series by ordering asanas from the easiest to the most difficult. You can ask during the session who had chosen a particular asana and why. The students feel that they had participated in the planning of the session and get inspired. Also by this way they learn to plan their own exercises.
